Framing, Firebox install and. . . more demo - Click on a picture for a larger image

The overall picture shows it quite well. Maybe it's time for me to get a camera with
a wide angle lens. In the meantime photomontage will have to do. The wall between the
master bedroom and closet had some positioning issues which were worked out eventually.
Sometimes the first and second floor walls don't line up. CRAZY architects!


You might be thinking LEGOs, but we are thinking firebox. These are the parts of the Isokern firebox that assemble into an impressive masonry fireplace.

Check out Isokern's web site for more information about this impressive modular masonry chimney, forged from Icelandic igneous rock.

It only took a couple of hours for the firebox to be put together, mortared, rebared into the slab and ready for framing

The top of the chimney is a metalbestos and steel flue, boxed and ready for assembly.
