Demery and I were both surprised by how much space there will be under the stair. It will make for some nice storage space and a good sized TV, phone, and computer network cabinet.

Walls are framed on the ground then tilted up.

Above the closet (lower left corner) you can see the volume of Devin's loft taking shape.

Overall. . .
With all of the volume ceilings and lofts in the house we have had a challenge figuring out how to get enough vent space for the heating/cooling system. After a long meeting with an HVAC contractor Demery came up with a couple of elegant solutions that should make it possible without having ugly soffits going through the house.
