Phases - Foundation

Phase description - Under construction:

Foundation began with some SERIOUS digging. Days and days of it. We actually brought the demo crew back out to cut a bunch of concrete out of the driveway and sideyard as well as removing some significant amounts of interior flooring to accommodate the deep holes which needed to be dug under the existing foundation. Our Structural drawings required 24 large pads under the existing foundation. 5 feet under ground in some areas. In the center of the house a wall was called out that ended up about 18 feet long at the footing and about 5 feet high. UNDER THE HOUSE. That took some significant digging. Hector became know as "the Mole" after spending several days under the house, digging, digging, digging.

After the digging was done we had mountains of dirt, definitely a problematic amount. About 10 people responded to Craigslist ads to come get free dirt and it barely put a dent in the piles.
